A former Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro, who is also a major contender for the Benue South Senatorial seat on the platform of People Democratic Party (PDP), has advised Benue electorate to beware of money bag politicians whose stock in trade is to seek their support during elections only to abandon them after winning elections.
Moro gave the advice, in a chat with newsmen at the State Secretariat of the PDP, in Makurdi, on Friday, after he was screened by the PDP screening committee to contest for the party’s senatorial primaries.
The senatorial aspirant promised that he would deepen the process of law making by attracting projects that would have direct bearings to his constituency, noting that going to the senate is not all about providing legislation but to also do something that would meaningfully impact on the lives of the people.
“Having impacted positively on humanity while serving as local government chairman and minister of the federal republic of Nigeria, I am fully abreast with the yearnings and aspirations of my people.

“Therefore, my priority if elected as a senator, would be to work towards completion of critical projects in Benue South Senatorial District such as the Otobi Earth Dam, Skills acquisition centers etc.
“The dam which passed through the entire zone C is capable of not just boosting agriculture all year round but can supply water to many communities across many local government areas in the zone.
“I want to caution the electorate to beware of money bag politicians because it is better to endure to have a long term quality achievements than temporary pleasure.
“Do not make mistakes to vote those money bag politicians who would abandon you after winning elections”, Moro advised.
