Twenty young contestants have been selected to participate in the 11th season of the Next Titan, Nigeria’s entrepreneurial reality television show, to battle for the ₦50 million grand prize.
The 10-week competition will premiere on October 3 on DStv Africa Magic Family and on October 4 on TVC Entertainment, HipTV and Silverbird Network.
The new season, supported by title sponsor, Betano and other corporate partners, will bring together aspiring entrepreneurs to compete in business challenges designed to test their creativity, strategic thinking, marketing skills and ability to execute ideas.
Speaking at the opening of the new season, one of the judges, Chris Parkes, who has been involved with the programme since its first season, said the show had continued to evolve over the years.
“I have been doing this show since season one and it has been growing better and better each year. It has always been interesting and it’s going to be fun,” Parkes said.
He urged the contestants to demonstrate originality and strong business skills throughout the competition.
“I hope that you will be creative enough because I look for creativity, good marketing strategies and a good strength of humour,” he added.
The organisers said the 20 finalists were selected from 75 contestants who progressed to the boot camp stage of the competition. The finalists will move into the Titan House, where they will participate in a series of business tasks, innovation challenges, mentorship sessions and weekly eliminations.
At the end of the competition, one contestant will emerge as the Season 11 champion and receive the grand prize, alongside prizes for other leading contestants.
The organisers described The Next Titan as a platform designed to identify and nurture entrepreneurial talent while encouraging young Nigerians to consider entrepreneurship and business ownership as viable career paths.
Since its launch, the programme has combined competition, education and entertainment to showcase the experiences of entrepreneurs as they navigate business challenges, make strategic decisions and respond to real-world situations.
The organisers said the show was created to promote innovation, creativity and self-reliance among young Nigerians by giving participants an opportunity to develop and demonstrate their entrepreneurial abilities before a national television audience.
According to them, the 11th season will continue that focus by exposing contestants to practical business situations and mentorship from experienced business leaders serving as judges.
The organisers also acknowledged the contribution of Betano, the title and lead sponsor, as well as associate sponsors and partners including Cadbury, Sun King, Arik Air, Nigerite, Veritasi Homes, GIGM and Jojo & Co.
They said the continued involvement of corporate partners had helped sustain the platform and its focus on youth development and entrepreneurship.
With the 20 finalists now preparing to enter the Titan House, the organisers said viewers should expect a season featuring business competition, mentorship, innovation and entertainment as the contestants work towards becoming the next champion.
Over the years, The Next Titan has provided a television platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to present business ideas, develop their skills and compete for resources that can support the establishment or expansion of their ventures.
Season 11 will therefore place renewed attention on the ambitions, challenges and opportunities confronting young Nigerian entrepreneurs, while giving viewers an opportunity to follow their progress through the 10-week competition.
