Ayotunde Fabamwo, widely known as Twitch, has once again proven his impact as one of Africa’s leading digital innovators by winning the Digital Marketer of the Year award at the Lagos Entrepreneurs Awards, held on May 17, 2025, at the Oriental Hotel, Lagos.
A growth strategist and entrepreneur, Ayotunde is the Chief Marketing Officer of DigiQ, the digital marketing company he co-founded with Abiola Akinrimisi, operating between Nigeria and the UK.
DigiQ has helped shape the growth of several fast-rising startups including Trytune, Owllup, and Japaflex. Beyond this, Ayotunde has also worked directly with major platforms such as Chiplab, known for developing semiconductors in Kenya and Nigeria, and Donate-ng, the largest crowdfunding platform in Nigeria.
Based in the United Kingdom, Ayotunde is a recipient of the UK Global Talent Visa, a prestigious recognition awarded to individuals who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and promise in digital technology, research, arts, and culture. The visa is designed to attract top global minds to the UK, placing Ayotunde in a distinguished group of innovators shaping industries on an international scale.
He was also listed among the Most Influential People of African Descent (MIPAD) under 40 during the 72nd United Nations Assembly, an honor previously received by global figures such as Naomi Osaka, Trevor Noah, and Idris Elba.
This recognition aligns strongly with Ayotunde’s own vision, using storytelling and digital innovation to showcase Africa in a positive light, empowering Africans to believe in their potential and celebrate their cultural identity.
Ayotunde first rose to prominence as the founder of House of Twitch, a talent management and event production company that has expanded into 20 countries worldwide.
Under his leadership, the brand has worked with and managed the careers of stars such as Emmanuel Umoh, Boma Akpore, Yemi Cregx, Nehita Irieme, Chuks Imo, Stephen Sunday who rose to become Uganda’s biggest model, and many others, many of whom have become household names in Nollywood and the global modeling industry.
He is also notable for his skill acquisition initiatives, which have trained over 1,000 small business owners and artisans, from mechanics and bakers to plumbers, in the use of digital tools to grow their enterprises. By equipping everyday people with technology skills, Ayotunde is bridging the gap between traditional trades and modern opportunities.
