More than 20 music artistes and a comedian, General Odey, have been selected to perform at this year’s Inspiration FM Christmas Family Praise jam, billed for Saturday, at the Discovery Park in Uyo metropolis.
Inspiration FM Christmas Family Praise Jam is an annual praise and worship session, organised by Inspiration 105.9 Radio station, in Uyo, to thrill listeners and the general public in praise and worship songs, engaging the audience in thanksgiving for God’s kindness and favour throughout the year.
Addressing a press conference in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom state capital, at the weekend, the General Manager, Inspiration105.9 FM, Uyo, Rev Silas Ufot, said this year’s edition will feature more than 20 artistes, including the Band Master and leader of Salvation Army Orchestra, Joe Akpan, who also spearheaded the Christmas Concert 999, in Uyo, that won the Guinness Book of record in Akwa Ibom State.
Ufot said other local singers will include Solomon Moses, Darasol Brothers, Datty Sax, Evelynpraise, Pst Praise Etim, Pst George Eju, Regeneration Choir of Lutheran Church, Psalmist, Ibom Musical Society, and the Salvation Army Band, among others.
He expressed confidence that God would soon address myriads of security and economic challenges rocking Nigeria and Akwa Ibom State in particular, through intense worship and praises during the Christmas season. He said where prayers could not reach, concerted praises can, and enjoined the public to resort to praising God, amidst their travails in life.

“When David did that, he overcame many of his challenges. If you can open your heart and praise God, there will be a total turnaround in all you do.
“So, we expect God to visit our nation, Nigeria, our state, Akwa Ibom, and help the governor, Pastor Umo Eno, to interpret his ARISE agenda. We expect Him to come through for us in every of our endeavours as we praise Him.”
Ufot harped on importance of praise and recalled how a caller phoned in during a live radio programme, testifying how he dropped his suicidal attempt after listening to a soul-lifting song, “Amazing Grace”, on the programme.
He, therefore, called on the weak, heavy hearted and everyone to attend the praise jam, at the Discovery Park, on Saturday, with expectations that God would intervene in their cases.
