Two persons have been confirmed dead in a church that collapsed at Ikirun, Ifelodun Local Government of Osun State.
It was gathered that the incident happened behind a community primary school, Eweta, Ikirun, on Wednesday evening.
Findings showed that the building under construction was being used as a church while workers were still working there around 7pm when the incident happened.
Daily Sun gathered that four persons who were trapped under the debris were rescued and taken to the hospital by sympathisers.
Spokesperson of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Kehinde Adeleke, confirmed the incident, sayin that the victims were rescued by the people of the community who took them to the hospital.
Adeleke confirmed that two women died yesterday morning, adding that one of them was the owner of the building.
