Seventeen Corps members of the Batch B stream 1 of the 2021 National Youths Service Corps(NYSC) serving in Kebbi state are to repeat their service while seven other got their service year extended.
The State Coordinator of the scheme,Alhaji Mustapha Muhammad disclosed this during the low key passing out ceremony of the batch B, stream 1 in Birnin Kebbi.
Muhammad explained that a total of 1008 Corps members have successfully completed their service, existing from the batch, while those who got their service year extended or repeat contravened rules and regulations of the scheme.
According to him, “a total number of 1008 Batch B stream 1Corps members exit NYSC scheme today. 17 corps members are to repeat their entire service year,while 7 Corps members get an extension of their service year for various offences contravening the operations of the scheme”.
The State Coordinator,who was represented by the Head Corps Discipline and Reward,Mr. Umar Musa, congratulated corps members for their diligence, hardworking, loyalty and commitment towards the development of their various host communities.
He advised them not to abandoned their skills they have acquired during their service year so that they could make use of it for their livelihood.
In his remarks, the Birnin Kebbi LGA Inspector,Mr. Chenfa Isa Ponzing,commended his Corps members for being good representative of the NYSC and urged them to continue to protect the image of the country, even after their service year.
