A frontline governorship aspirant in Kwara State, Abdulfatai Seriki, has sympathised with traders at Owode Market in Offa, Kwara State, following a fire outbreak that occurred in the market on Wednesday, destroying goods worth millions of naira.

Seriki conveyed his sympathy via a press statement issued by his media office on Thursday, describing the incident as unfortunate and painful.

“We are indeed saddened by the unfortunate incident. When things like this happen, as humans, we often have little or no control over them. The traders who suffered these losses are part of our community, not strangers, and it is therefore important that we show empathy and stand with them at this difficult time.

“We pray that Almighty Allah replaces in manifold what has been lost in the fire incident and that we never witness such a tragedy again,” the statement read. .
