About 150 students in Ethiope East Local Government Area of Delta State have received three-year educational scholarships under an initiative funded by Princess Nyerovwo Iyedo.
The scholarships were awarded on Thursday, September 3, 2026, during a programme held at the Ethiope East Local Government Secretariat in Isiokolo.
The initiative was also presented as supporting Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda, particularly its focus on education and human capital development.
Speaking at the event, Iyedo said her decision to support the beneficiaries was motivated by her desire to assist students with their education.
She said the initiative would also provide support to women, widows, youths and small business owners.
The event was attended by students, community leaders and other stakeholders.
