Ekiti State Police Command has arrested 15 suspected armed robbers, cultists and kidnappers. Commissioner of Police, Michael Falade, said: “The command makes the state too hot for the criminals to operate. We have to embark on intelligence which led to the arrest of the suspected hoodlums in their various hideouts.
“I have reminded officers and men of their commitment to professionalism, zero tolerance for corruption and abuse of human rights. Officers should always operate within the ambit of law.

the command did sanitation and clearing with members of the public. We also had medical outreach and a walk-out. We appreciate the public for turning out. This is part of community policing and having good relationship with the public.
“Operatives arrested 10 suspected armed robbers terrorising Ado-Ekiti axis. Suspected cultists and armed robbers involved in different operations in Aramoko, Ikere-Ekiti and Oye-Ekiti were arrested.
“This is strengthened by the leadership the Inspector General of police [IGP], Olatunji Disu. He has repeatedly expressed his unequivocal stance on professionalism, discipline, respect for the rights and dignity of citizens, public trust and enthroning a people-centred policing system since assuming office.”
Falade thanked the public for the cooperation in imbibing community policing to assisting police to flush out the hoodlums: “Today, the state is calm and safe. The suspects will soon be charged to court.”
