15 internet fraud suspects arrested in Abuja

By John Ogunsemore

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 15 suspected internet fraudsters in Abuja.

In a statement on Monday, the EFCC said operatives of its Makurdi Zonal Directorate arrested the suspects at Amax Apartment, Guzape, following credible intelligence that linked them to fraudulent internet activities.

“Items recovered from them include a Toyota Highlander with customised registration number (BORNO AAA) and phones.

“They have made useful statements and would be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” the anti-graft commission said.
