Fifteen people were injured and evacuated to Kura General Hospital in Kano State following a lone crash involving a DAF trailer on Sunday morning.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Kano Sector Command, said the accident occurred at Gadan Yankifi, along the Kano-Zaria Road.
According to a statement signed by the Sector Public Education Officer, A.A. Labaran, the trailer was conveying passengers and goods when it crashed.
The corps confirmed that no death was recorded in the accident but the crash caused a temporary obstruction of traffic on the affected section of the road.
To restore free flow of traffic, the Sector Commander, CC I.M. Lawal, immediately deployed an FRSC tow truck to remove the wreckage.
The FRSC urged motorists plying the route to reduce their speed around the affected area, obey traffic officers and cooperate with FRSC personnel and other emergency responders at the scene.
