14 Perm Secs candidates scale through exam, advance to crucial ICT test

Fourteen candidates have successfully scaled the rigorous written examination for Permanent Secretary positions, advancing to the next critical phase in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) selection process.

Director of Press and Public Relations, Eno Olotu in a statement said from an initial pool of 25 participants, these top performers will now face an Information and Communication Technology (ICT) proficiency test on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. The stage tests digital competencies vital for modern public service leadership.
Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, hailed the merit-based milestone, saying, “The entire process is being conducted with the utmost credibility and competitiveness. This exercise is a direct reflection of the Federal Government’s reform agenda, aimed at building a professional, accountable, and future-ready public service.”

She stressed transparency in identifying top talent, declaring, “The Office is committed to a transparent and merit-based process that identifies leaders of proven competence, unwavering integrity, and strategic vision to steer the Federal Civil Service.”

Addressing public expectations, Walson-Jack added, “The entirety of the selection exercise will continue to be guided by the principles of fairness and integrity, in strict alignment with the broader governance and public service renewal agenda of the Federal Government.”
