A son of Gbenga Ogbara, the chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) shot dead by unknown gunmen in Atakumosa East Local Government of Osun State, has explained how his father was killed.

Ogbara was shot dead in his sitting room in Igangan-Ijesa Monday morning.

His 12-year-son, Aregbesola, who was hit by a bullet, spoke to our correspondent where he was receiving treatment at the hospital.

‘We were coming from the shop yesterday with my mother when we saw some people on the bike,’ he said.

‘Minutes later, one of them knocked on our door demanding to see my father. When he opened the door, he spotted the danger and attempted to run but was shot in the back several times.

‘The assailants shot at us through the window and one of the bullets hit my left hand.’
