12 residents allegedly abducted as terrorists strike Kajuru community

Armed bandits have allegedly abducted 12 residents of Dutsengaiya community in Kasuwar Magani ward of Kajuru Local Government Area, Kaduna State, during a midnight attack.

According to local sources who spoke in confidence, the attack occurred around 12:00 a.m. on Monday, March 9, when the assailants stormed the community and whisked away the victims to an unknown destination.

The sources said the gunmen invaded the village in large numbers, moving from house to house before abducting the residents.

The identities of the abducted victims had not been immediately confirmed as of the time of filing this report.

Residents said the attack caused panic in the area, with many people fleeing their homes for safety.

Dutsengaiya is located in the Kasuwar Magani axis of Kajuru Local Government Area, an area that has experienced repeated incidents of communal crisis, banditry and kidnapping in recent years.

Both the Kaduna State Police Command and the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs had not made any public statement on the development as of the time of filing this report.
