Ondo State women basketball team, Sunshine Angels, has picked one of the tickets to play in the Nigeria top women basketball league.
The team came second behind a highly motivated MFM basketball team of Lagos in Group A after losing the last game by 51-58 points at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin, Edo State.

Speaking in a telephone interview shortly after the game, head coach Sunshine Angels, Sola Aluko said the qualification means a lot to the girls who have worked hard from home and it would further motivate and expose them to more competitive games.
Coach Aluko also expressed joy that despite the stress and challenges faced by the team, three out of the girls have been invited to the U-16 national camp in Abuja.
The three players invited to the national camp are Ajewole Mercy Dada, Kehinde Jesuntofunmi Boluwatife and Anani Gift Oyom.
