A coalition of Nigerian youth groups including the Forum of Special Advisers and Senior Special Assistants to State Governors on Youth Matters have finalised plans to stage a solidarity walk for President Bola Tinubu.
The walk to be organised in collaboration with the APC Youth League is scheduled to commence in Abuja on June 12.
A statement by the National President of the APC Youth League, Olamide Lawal, said the walk tagged ‘Tinubu loyalty walk 2025’ would be replicated across the 36 states later.
Lawal, special assistant to the Governor of Ogun State on Youth Matters, said the solidarity walk underscores the growing involvement of young people in Nigeria’s political landscape.
Lawal expressed enthusiasm about the event, noting that other youth groups in the country were set to join forces with his group to ensure success of the outing.
“We are set to embark on a journey that will showcase our unwavering support for President Tinubu’s vision and policies. The Tinubu Loyalty Walk is a significant initiative that will demonstrate the youths’ commitment to the ‘youth-centric’ administration of President Tinubu.”
He maintained that President Tinubu has implemented notable policies and initiatives aimed at economic empowerment, leadership inclusions for young people and sustainable development since he assumed office in 2023.
“The President’s achievements are visible everywhere. They include the Students Loan Act and the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund. The Tinubu Loyalty Walk is to appreciate Mr President’s commitments to youth engagement and empowerment. We are set to demonstrate our unwavering support for his leadership and policies, and we invite all Nigerians particularly Young people to join us in this noble cause.
“The event shall be an exciting celebration of unity and development, featuring a range of activities, including a peaceful loyalty walk, solidarity march, rallying points, solidarity speeches, cultural displays, media engagement, distribution of branded materials, free medical checks and food outreaches,” Lawal submitted in the statement.
