To address women’s approach to networking and support their aspirations, Finance and Data Expert Omotoyosi Ogunbanwo has created a safe haven for women and girls through her peer-to peer community base platform, “Synerge”.
Ogunbanwo believes that “creating a safe space for women and girls is a key strategy for the protection and empowerment of women.
She explained that, “Women have a greater barrier to professional networking than men. To obtain top jobs, women must be a part of both wide networks and informative inner circles. Almost every successful woman can attest to the support and encouragement she received from her female tribe, who cheered them on from the bottom of their ladder.
“I am driven by my passion to change the world, actually that’s my mission to transform lives”, says Ogunbanwo.
She reiterated her commitment to impact women who would in turn empower other females as well.
“Synerge is The women Circle, a platform that advocates women’s empowerment and rights, especially in career development.
“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.’
Ogunbanwo who is a master networker and women’s advocate, in her recent conversation shared how Synërgè – The women’s circle have advanced the course of women through her various platform.
She decided to impact women by building a community of women who can advance their careers through networking.
Speaking further on her passion for creating room for other women, the Fintech expert had this to say,
“For women and girls to take that quantum leap and develop their careers or businesses they need forums where they are trained and mentored.
At Synerge we provide, a safe space for women to discuss issues that bothers them. We use our platform to develop many skills for different purposes, where women can connect and ask for advice on many levels. Women can blend their personal lives with their professions.
“We are not just focused on growing your career, we are committed to improving your mental health and becoming a better version of yourself every day.
Moreso, we intend to help women find sponsors, mentors, coaches, cofounders, business partners, and investors in our community. But we also want women to find a safe space where they can access resources to help them succeed.”
Ogunbanwo explained how it works, we believe that even though we are a huge community, humans thrive better in smaller groups. Every woman who is part of our community is added to a subgroup with five other women. These women become your accountability partner for the year with quarterly check-ins from our team.
“We try our best to match-make women in the same or similar locations because we don’t just want you to interact online, we want you to build and develop a solid relationship that thrives in the real world.
These women advocate is also the co-founder of two tech companies and a Senior PM at Amazon where she helps build products on the Fintech team. She also mentors’ tens of young women across the globe, helping them get into tech and scale their careers effectively. She believes women should use their network and resources in lifting each other.
