In this series, we have highlighted giving as one of the keys to financial growth.
So far, we have discussed types of giving;
Kingdom Promotion Giving
Worship Offerings
Giving To The Poor.
Today, we will be discussing;
Giving To Your Prophet
Giving To Your Parents
Paying Your Employees And Being Faithful To Your Employer
4. GIVING TO THE PROPHET.
2KINGS 4:8-10.GNT. 8”One day Elisha went to Shunem, where a rich woman lived. She invited him to a meal, and from then on every time he went to Shunem he would have his meals at her house.
9 She said to her husband, “I am sure that this man who comes here so often is a holy man.
10 Let’s build a small room on the roof, put a bed, a table, a chair, and a lamp in it, and he can stay there whenever he visits us.”
2CHRONICLES.20:20.NLT. 20”Early the next morning the army of Judah went out into the wilderness of Tekoa. On the way Jehoshaphat stopped and said, “Listen to me, all you people of Judah and Jerusalem! Believe in the Lord your God, and you will be able to stand firm. Believe in his prophets, and you will succeed.”
• This is another avenue for financial growth.
• It is impossible to have a real financial future or live-infinancial overflow without honouring a genuine prophet of God with your financial and quality gift.
• Prosperity is impossible without a prophet.
• A prophet is a born messenger of God that declares God’s counsel and it comes to pass.
• He is one with obvious proves on the call of God on his life.
• He lives to preach; he does not preach to live.
• He is God’s mouthpiece.
• He ministers to your spiritual needs and you honour him with material things including money and other valuables.
1Corinthians. 9:11.KJV. “11 If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things”.
Luke 8:2-3.KJV. “2 And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mary called Magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,
3 And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod’s steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance”.
• A prophet brings profit into your life.
• You do not give a prophet once and for all; you give him once and again.
• A pastor does not desire your gift; you need his grace.
5. GIVE TO YOUR PARENTS.
Ephesians.6:2-3.KJV. “2 Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with promise;3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
• You can never enjoy financial restoration if you starve your parents.
• Your parents have a covenant place in your life.
• Honour your biological and spiritual parents, including your parent’s in-law by giving them gifts, money and other valuables.
• They may not deserve your honour, but God has commanded you to honour them.
• They may not have sent you to school, but they gave birth to you.
• Without them, you would not have come into the world.
• Your seed is what provokes their prophetic utterance.
• You need the prophetic word of your parents to advance financially.
6. PAYING YOUR EMPLOYEES AND BEING FAITHFUL TO YOUR EMPLOYER.
JEREMIAH.22:13.KJV.13 Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by wrong; that useth his neighbour’s service without wages, and giveth him not for his work”.
• Paying your employees as at when due is one of the secrets that trigger financial overflow.
• Work integrity provokes financial overflow.
• When you employ a worker, pay him for the job he is doing.
• Wealth gotten and retained by oppression will soon varnishinto oblivion.
• Stop hiring people to work for you and not pay them.
• Stop playing games with your employees’ destiny and welfare; it can bring a curse on you and hinder the flowof the blessings of God in your life.
• When you use the services of somebody and do not pay the person, your heavens will be closed.
• On the other hand, stewards, employees and servants should learn to be sincere and faithful to their masters or employers.
• Cutting down your master’s profit is cutting down your financial destiny.
• Your lifting is not tied to wickedness or crookedness, rather, it is tied to faithfulness. Luke 16:11-12. KJV. “11If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?
12 And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man’s, who shall give you that which is your own?
• Crookedness is a destroyer of destiny.
• Crookedness will never give you a future.
• If you want to prosper, remain faithful and do not play smart with your boss.
• Do not cut corners; if you do, you are cutting down your destiny.
PRAYER OF SALVATION
In all of these, the first step is to be born again as
Romans 10:9-10 says
”that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Kindly say this prayer aloud;
“O Lord God, I come to You in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Your word says,”…whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Acts 2:21).
I ask Jesus to come into my heart to be the Lord of my life. I receive eternal life into my spirit and according to Roman 10:9, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thy heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved”,
I declare that I am saved; I am born-again; I am a child of God!
I now have Christ dwelling in me, and greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4)!
I now walk in the consciousness of my new life in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!”
Congratulations!
