From Geoffrey Anyanwu, Enugu
Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State yesterday led four other governors elected under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to a meeting in Enugu apparently to further their disagreement with developments in the party.
The governors were received at the Akanu Ibiam International Airport were they landed in Wike’s private jet, by their host, Governor. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi. They went into a meeting at the Governments House.
The other governors in the meeting were Seyi Makinde of Oyo , Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia and Samuel Ortom of Benue State.
Though they refused to talk to newsmen at the end of the meeting, sources said the governors considered their options following renewed efforts of the PDP and it’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar to make them to support the party.
Daily Sun gathered yesterday that there was also pressure on the governor’s to shift their support to Labour Partty (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
