From Okwe Obi, Abuja

Founder of the Christian Centre for Mission, Family and Leadership Development (CEMFLED), Rev Isaac Komolafe, has advocated the establishment of social arms in churches, to assist the indigents.

He argued that it was not enough for churches to only preach the gospel amid hunger, adding that most people, especially the poor will harden their hearts because of hunger and other societal needs.

Komolafe, during the launch of the organisation in Abuja yesterday, said the organisation would expand its evangelism to other African countries especially those engulfed in crises.

He added: “The vision extends to the flourishing of families nurturing environments where the timeless values and teachings of the Christian faith become the cornerstone.

“Thriving families, as envisioned by CEMFLED, are characterized by mutual respect, resilience in the face of challenges, and a commitment to fostering spiritual growth.

“It is a portrayal of homes where love abounds, where parems guide their children with wisdom and compassion, and where the family unit becomes a source of strength for individuals and the community

“CEMFLED’s vision includes a call for leaders who are not only skilled and visionary but are also fervent champions of social justice.

“These leaders, inspired by Christian principles, actively engage in dismantling systemic injustices, promoting equality, and advocating for the marginalized.

“They are leaders who understand the profound responsibility to create a society where every individual, regardless of background or circumstance, can thrive and contribute meaningfully.
