The Mayor of Urhoboland and a good governance advocate, Eshanekpe Israel a.k.a Akpodoro has cautioned the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) led by the former Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, to thread softly in the choice of who leads the Delta State chapter of the party.

Akpodoro stated this at an event organised by the Palace of the Mayor of Urhoboland in Abuja at the weekend to review topical national issues including the politics in Delta, noting that the 2023 gubernatorial election in the oil-rich state was not encouraging due mainly to the fact that the APC was allowed to be hijacked by some elements.

He argued that one of the reasons the people rejected their own at the polls  was not unconnected with his stance against power shift to the South.
