Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has expressed his condolences on the death of Prophet Michael Ojo Olowere, founder of the Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, Oke-Agbara, Asi Bodija Ibadan.

Olowere, who planted many branches of CAC, died on Wednesday at his Asi residence. He was in his eighties when he breathed his last.

The governor, in a condolence message signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sulaimon Olanrewaju, described Olowere as a worthy father of faith, who dedicated his life to serving God and humanity. He acknowledged Olowere’s contributions to the prosperity of Oyo State through his prayers and other efforts.

The governor extended his sympathies to the leadership of the CAC Worldwide, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the Oyo State branch, and the immediate family of Baba Olowere.

He also expressed his sorrow for the loss that would be felt by Baba Olowere’s followers, admirers, and the Christian faithful in the state.

Makinde prayed for God to grant eternal rest to Baba Olowere and for strength for everyone affected by his passing

The governor said: “I received the news of the death of Prophet Michael Ojo Olowere, with shock. Baba lived his life serving God and humanity. He was a God’s General, who sought the good of Oyo State and Nigeria and contributed his quota to making it happen.

“We have lost a worthy father of faith in Oyo State. I condole with the CAC Worldwide, the Oyo State CAN, the members of CAC Oke-Agbara, Asi Bodija and the entire people of the state. I pray that God will grant him eternal rest and give all of us the fortitude to bear this loss.”
