Wabiazo Festival, an event conceived by Ceeyah Limited, an event management company, to showcase the cultural uniqueness and diversity within the African continent would be held between August 23 and 25 at East Park, Wolverhampton, England.
A statement by Mr Johnson Azeboloa, media liaison to the organisers said the African cultural festival where diversity would meet inclusion is expected to attract 30,000 guests from all walks of life.
This epoch festival is designed to showcase a wide range of events, including music, dance, arts, poetry and most importantly, foods. The festival will also feature performances and delicacies from other continents, like Asia and Europe.
The festival designed to showcase Africa to the world would also help to illuminate the hitherto grey areas between diversity and inclusion in cultures. Wabiazo Festival is also focussed on providing a platform for up and coming artists, entertainers and entrepreneurs.
“The festival will feature Afrobeats, British and Bollywood artists, cultural performances, traditional dance troupes, masquerades, exhibitions and a display of African cuisines.
“To foster cross-cultural understanding and appreciation. It aims to create a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere where people can come together to celebrate Africa’s rich heritage, while also promoting a sense of unity and togetherness among the attendees”, the statement said.
Other performances on the bill include Ekombi, Ogene, highlife, fuji performances as well as other African flavours and delicacies.
