Hollywood actor Ben Stiller has joined the list of celebrities throwing their weight behind US Vice President Kamala Harris in the race for the nation’s next leader.
TMZ reports that while hopping on a Zoom call for Monday’s “Comics For Kamala” event with other celebs, including Ed Helms, Jon Hamm and Whoopi Goldberg, Stiller pledged his support for Harris and announced a donation to her campaign.
The Locked Down star revealed that he would give $150,000 to the democratic nominee while sharing how excited he was at the prospect of Harris beating her opponent, former President Donald Trump.
While encouraging everyone to rally around his candidate, Stiller described Harris as a “decent person” to take over the White House because she cares about democracy.
Speaking further, the actor referred to Harris as a historic Black and Indian candidate who is everything wrapped up in one individual.
“I’m Jewish and Irish… I wish I was black, every white Jewish guy wishes he was Black,” he added.
