The acting Vice Chancellor, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), Professor Oguejiofor Ujam has commended the former Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development in Enugu State, Professor Victor Nnam, for his elevation to the prestigious rank of Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors (NIS).
In a congratulatory message, Professor Ujam lauded Prof. Nnam’s remarkable contributions, dedication and commitment to the field of surveying and geoinformatics.
Describing the recognition as a significant honour both for Nnam and the university, Ujam said: “As a volunteer professor, you have generously shared your knowledge and expertise with our students, offering invaluable mentorship and guidance. Your selfless dedication to academia is deeply appreciated.”
The vice chancellor described Nnam’s elevation as “a source of pride for our institution.”
He expressed the university’s joy for being associated with his achievements, saying, “On behalf of the management of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, we extend our warmest congratulations to you.”
Prof Nnam, an expert in surveying and geoinformatics, has made notable contributions to both academia and professional practice, earning widespread recognition.
The investiture ceremony will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, in Akure, the Ondo State capital.
