The newly appointed Registrar of the Ondo State government-owned University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED), Ondo, Mr Ezekiel Imoleayo Adeniran has assured of effective and efficient administration.

The new Registrar who had worked as administrator in three different universities including the Federal University of Technology Akure, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko and the Elizade University before his current appointment, said he would be transparent in the discharge of his duties as the Registrar of the 10 years old university.
Speaking with journalists in his office, Adeniran promised to make judicious use of the knowledge and experience gathered in his years of university administration in the discharge of his duties to the admiration of all the stakeholders of the university.
He said his emergence was an act of God and a reward for diligence, dedication and commitment to work, pointing out that he emerged the best among other contestants for the post of the Registrar of the university through a transparent and credible process.
Unfolding his vision for the university, especially the registry, Adeniran disclosed that some departments in the registry will be unbundled to give room for efficient service delivery and at the same time give members of staff sense of fulfilment in their career.
The Registrar also expressed his readiness to introduce digital services in the registry, saying that the staff of the department will be given adequate training to ensure efficient delivery.
He disclosed that most of the services of the university’s registry will be done online, assuring that transcript will be collected by graduates of the university through online platform within 72 hours.
Besides, he disclosed that the registry will introduce an annual lecture series which will give staff of the department the opportunity to expand their frontiers and improve their knowledge on the module operandi of the department.
This is even as he promised to organize workshops and seminars for staff of the department from time to time to enhance their productivity and promote the operation of the registry.
While appreciating the support of the Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Adesegun Fatusi, the Registrar also solicited for the cooperation of all the registry staff to achieve his visions.
