Touched by his outstanding contribution and performance in film industry in Nigeria, a Nigerian, Cyril Chikwelu Odenigbo, the Executive Director and Founder, Magnus Film Academy, Magnus Media Studios, and iDOFF Technology has been honoured with Peace Ambassador Award by the United Nations-backed International Cities of Peace (UNICP).

This was announced by the UNICP on April 21, 2025, under the distinguished leadership of J. Fred Arment, Chair and Lead Facilitator of the organization who also acknowledged that the award is well deserved, as a result of Odenibo’s outstanding contributions to peace and leadership.

Arment went further to describe Amb. Odenigbo’s award as a recognition of exceptional commitment to peace building through media, youth empowerment, storytelling, and innovative digital solutions that are shaping a better Nigeria and contributing to global peace narratives.

The award letter reads in part, “This prestigious award is a testament to your worthy leadership qualities in the film industry and peace building in Nigeria and globally. We are incredibly proud to recognize your accomplishments and celebrate your success”, the letter reads.

However, speaking on the award, Amb. Cyril Odenigbo dedicated the recognition to peace-loving Nigerians and expressed renewed commitment to using storytelling, digital innovation, and creative media as tools to drive positive change and unity.
