From Emmanuel Uzor, Awka

As the remains of Senator Ifeanyi Uba are laid to rest, some stakeholders in Anambra State have taken time to speak about the late politician.

Senator Chris Ngige, former Anambra State Governor/ex-Minister of Labour and Employment

Ubah was a promising young man full of life and energy; full of zeal to serve his people.

He lives on and right in the hearts and minds of fellow warriors and patriots, as he now resides behind the pearly gates of Heaven. God rest his soul.

Here lies a man full of life as he went about his normal activities before death struck. Here lies a man loved by men and called to everlasting rest by God his maker. Here lies a burden bearer and man without boundaries.

His services to Ndi and Anambra South senatorial District in particular speak so loudly. His dogged fight for fairness, accountability and development in Anambra State are undeniable

There are so many things yet undone as he is laid to rest. This signals the end of an era. It signals the beginning of a new era and it signals the absolute will of God for mankind.

Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene, Vice President, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide

Ifeanyi Ubah represented two striking similarities of bravery and tenacity. He meant so many things to so many people at the same time. He was a hero of democracy and one of the pillars of the emerging political force in Nigeria and Anambra State in particular.

He was a very hardworking young man who was in a hurry to get things done rightly. Some may call it ambitious but he wanted that which would happen in 10 years to begin today. His death is a great loss to Anambra, Southeast and the entire Nigeria. He did his best within the shortest time allotted to him in life. He was bold, daring and positively aggressive in his dealings in life. His death is a great lesson to humanity too on the vanity of this life. May God console his family and all affected by his demise.

Chief Omife Omife, Chairman, Association of Past Presidents General of Communities, South East

Ifeanyi Ubah was a good man who tried to touch the lives of both the high and the low in society. He never discriminated between classes of people, most especially if he discovered potential in someone. He encouraged talents to grow and he was so passionate about the affairs of Ndigbo and Anambra State. He was a very kind man to a fault and very emotional too, down to earth and also had good intentions for his state and Ndigbo. Many people benefited from his generosity and the void created by his demise would be difficult to fill up.
