Troops deployed for counter-terrorism operations in Kaduna State have foiled a terrorist attack on a village and killed one of the terrorists.

The troops also recovered arms and ammunition from the terrorists along Mallum Forest during the operation.

The troops, acting on credible intelligence, were said to have tactically positioned themselves along the terrorists’ axis of movement.

On sighting the terrorists on motorbikes emerging from Mallum forest, through an alternate route, troops engaged the terrorists with a heavy volume of firepower neutralizing one, while others fled in disarray into the nearby forest; thereby thwarting their nefarious mission and preventing a potential attack on innocent civilians.
