Trendupp Africa, organisers of Nigeria’s first and foremost award for Influencers and Content Creators, has unveiled the nominees for the fourth edition of its prestigious awards initiative, Trendupp Awards. The award honours Influencers, Content Creators and brands excelling in their audacious use of social media across diverse fields and platforms.
Under the theme, “The Force of Influence,” Trendupp Awards will honour 17 winners during the main ceremony this year. These winners will be selected from a pool of 102 nominees across 17 categories by a Judging Council consisting of renowned media personalities and thought leaders across Africa, including Busola Tejumola, Do2DTun, Denrele Edun, Yinka Adebayo and Aisha Augie, among others. The winner’s selection process will be based on three key criteria: creativity, engagement and consistency.
This year’s awards introduced two exciting new categories: “Force of the Pod” and “Force of Influence (International).” The Force of the Pod category aims to recognise Influencers and Content Creators who effectively use podcasts as a medium for education, engagement and impact, while the Force of Influence (International) category will recognise creators who command the highest influence in the international social media space.
Commenting on the quality of nominees who made the list this year, Taiwo Kola-Ogunlade, one of the Trendupp Awards 2024 Judging Council members and Communications and Public Affairs Manager, West Africa at Google, stated that, “the calibre of Influencers and Content Creators that were nominated this year truly showcases the dynamic and ever evolving nature of digital media. Their innovative content and groundbreaking collaborations continue to enrich the digital landscape. Excited to work with my fellow jurors in this honour of those who demonstrate outstanding creativity, consistency and engagement.”
