The Minister of Transportation, Said Ahmed Alkali, has charged the newly inaugurated governing council of the Federal University of Transportation, Daura (FUTD), with developing policies and principles to ensure the institution’s sustainability.
Alkali gave the charge when the Chairman and members of the council paid him a courtesy visit on Tuesday, 16 July 2024, in Abuja. He added that governing an institution with sustainable policies and principles is the only way to ensure it contributes to economic growth and development.
Alkali said: “You are to come up with sustainability principles and policies that will be your programme and operational guide.
“You can also incorporate staff training programmes that are focused on implementing sustainability in areas such as innovation, collaboration, and ethical behaviour.”
