The Northern youths Progressive Network has described as commendable The Sun award presented to the Founder of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, Government Ekpemupolo also know as Tompolo.
Convener of the group, Bala Mohammed, in a statement, said the prestigious award which took place on Sunday 18th February,  2024 in Lagos did not come to him as a surprise, in view of his remarkable achievements in securing the nation’s oil and gas sector.
“The company through the inspirational leadership of High Chief Government Ekpemupolo Tompolo has indeed demonstrated capacity and courage in dealing with the monstrous crude oil theft and vandalism by economic saboteurs and has restored sanity in the nation’s oil sector.
“Tantita has been ruthless in its approach of dealing with the scourge and that has led to the arrest of several vessels laden with illegal crude oil and most recently in 2024 are the arrest of MT Kali and Herbert spirit vessels in the creeks of the Niger Delta.
“This measure has no doubt added greater impetus to oil production in Nigeria with the nation’s daily oil output nearing 2 million barrels per day, thus raking more money to the nation’s coffer.
“It is equally instructive to note that since the engagement of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited by the federal government, the operations of the organisation has also brought about greater environmental resuscitation in the region once plagued by High level pollution to the ecosystem, human and the aquatic lives.
“We are convinced that this iconic award is motivational, apt and a needed tonic to spur the recipient and the company to do more for national development.
“While congratulating High Chief Government Ekpemupolo on the well deserved award especially coming from a highly reputable news medium in the country,  we urged the federal Government to develop genuine political will to prosecute those arrested by the security outfit to serve as deterrent to others.
“As it is often said, the reward for hard work is more work, Keep raising the bar of good work for posterity sake,” he said.
