POPULAR cleric, Apostle Anselm Madu-
buko has called on President Bola Ahmed Ti-
nubu to appoint real technocrats to redeem
this country as the suffering is getting worse.
The founder of Revival Assembly Church,
Lagos, made this call during a chat with the
Daily Sun, where he insisted that the issue
of subsidy will remain a scam as long as
figures and decisions are not made known to
the masses.
State of the nation
Nothing has changed; in fact, there is
more hunger now, and the economy is not
doing well. Only God will help us in this
country. I just pray that the president will
put the right people in charge, forget about
tribalism and political parties, and look for
real technocrats to bring us out of the mess
we are in right now. The dollar is almost
N1200, and it’s not been addressed. I doubt
if they know what is going on because if you
open my inbox, all you see is ‘am suffering’.
The truth is that the average Nigerian is
finding life very difficult, and there is no
light at the end of the tunnel apart from
faith talks when the pastor says that it will
be well.
Nigeria is not a church; it is a nation.
You have to see something put in place first
before you can expect a change. We have
not seen anything put in place for anyone to
see a change. If the right people were there,
you would have seen that investors would
have made some moves. Investors are not
coming to Nigeria. The state of the nation is
frightening.
On the issue of subsidy removal, the fact
remains that we have not heard the truth
about it. Everything is covered; no one
knows exactly how much fuel we are using.
We need facts before making adjustments.
It is hard, and I heard someone say that if
we fix all the refineries, it will not affect the
price of fuel. Why are we different? Other
nations that are producing petroleum are
enjoying it when the prices go up. Why
should we suffer? There is no truth yet;
there are too many lies and hypocrisy. The
whole thing is so frustrating. We are here to
tell them the truth; we are not here to insult
the government.
They think we are happy because Nigeri-
ans seem to adjust quickly. We are interested
in irrelevant things but not in our nation.
Until we start reacting, politicians will not
change.
In the midst of all this hardship, you see
them budgeting for cars and armored ve- hicles, spending more than when we used to
have money. With so many people in offices
and so many ministers, it is costing more to
govern. Our economy is in bad shape, and
it is not reflecting well among politicians. It
is the common man who is paying the price
for bad governance.
Way forward
God has to intervene. I don’t know how he
will do it. People are afraid to die, which is
why they can push us and nothing will hap-
pen. Until they feel that we will react when
things are bad, then they will be careful. We
hear them say that things are hard, but we
don’t see them show that things are hard.
They are not cutting allowances; a man has
25 vehicles following him; the luxury is too
much; we need to see by example that we
don’t have money. Let the Senate, president,
and governors give up something. Then
people will know and believe. They are
spending so much foreign exchange that
we do not have to buy these things, which
makes us poorer.
No one is talking about the poor man who
is earning N30,000 a month. Why are they
sharing money? They should use that money
to build something that will benefit the poor.
Giving the poor money for six months is not
right. After six months, what will happen to
them? It is better to use the money to pay
for free medication, buy buses, and do free
transportation. Give loans to farmers so that
it will bring down the price of food and also
create jobs. They are proud to say they are
sharing a billion. Sharing stipends is not the
way out of suffering. Except they are going
to share it forever, like in Britain, where they
help the poor by giving monthly stipends.
If they give NLC the N200,000 that they
are demanding, then Nigeria is finished
because inflation will get worse. No one is
condemning anything. It appears they are
making life difficult for people so that when
they see N15,000, they will jump at it.
The role of the church
If not for the church, this country would
have exploded. We are talking to people
and giving them hope. You cannot share
money with the church members; how
much are you going to share with them?
All these people who say that they are using
the money know where they are getting it.
There is no tithe money in the church again.
It is not enough to send a family to America;
they get money somehow. Tithe money
from people who are suffering; how many
people have money to pay tithe these days?
I am richer than my church because of my
personal ministry. I travel the world; that is
my own ministry. This is how it is with most
pastors. Most pastors don’t make money
from the church; they see you drive a car,
and they say it is the church’s money. God
is taking care of the church, not the people.
The church is sponsored by good people, not
even rich people. People come on TV and
say that pastors are thieves, but in reality,
we are sponsoring so many people, and we
have staff. We are paying them more than
the minimum wage. There is no money in a
true church.
Israel-Gaza crisis
They are trying to test what is going to
happen at the end of the age. We still have
some more years to come before the real
war will come before the rapture. The time
that Russia, Iran, and China will descend on
Israel is the last sign of the rapture but what
is happening now is just a test. Let me warn
everyone that from next year on, life will
change for the worse. Globalists are trying
to push time forward. They are trying to
make everyone suffer. What should happen
after the church has left? There are going to
be many shutdowns, and many things are
in the process of making man start killing
human beings. They call it depopulation; the
world is too large.
