President Bola Tinubu has named National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Abdulahi Ganduje, former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Professor Bolaji Akinyemi, APC National Secretary, Bashiru Ajibola and a number of others as chairmen of different parastatals.
While Ganduje was appointed to chair the board of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Akinyemi was named the chairman of the board of Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA). Ajibola was named the board chairman of the National Sugar Development Council (NSDC), according to a statement issued by Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga
The President equally appointed a new Managing Director for the Nigerian Railway Corporation and a Director-General for the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI).
He directed the board chairpersons not to interfere with the management of the organisations, emphasizing that their positions were non-executive.
All the appointments took immediate effect.
