President Bola Tinubu, yesterday, met with the members of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

The lawmakers who arrived in a coaster bus at about 2pm were ushered into the council chambers by security officials and the President’s aides.

Mojisola Meranda, who was recently elected Speaker and resigned after 49 days had arrived with her colleagues while Mudasiru Obasa arrived about 30 minutes later and joined then at the Council Chambers.

They refused to speak with the press after the meeting.

President Tinubu later hosted principal officers of the National Assembly for an Iftar dinner at the State House, Abuja.

The lawmakers arrived the Villa’s forecourt around 7p.m. in two Toyota Coaster buses. Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, later joined the gathering.

This marked the second Iftar dinner hosted by the President during the ongoing Ramadan.

Among those in attendance were Vice President Kashim Shettima, Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, and chairpersons of various Senate and House committees.
