President Bola Tinubu has sympathised with Governor of Anambra State, Chukwuma Soludo, over the passing of his father.
Media aide to the Governor, in a statement, said Pa Soludo (Ichie Akukananwa) died in the early hours of yesterday, at the age of 92.
The statement read: “Pa Soludo is survived by seven sons, eight daughters-in-law, twenty-two grand-children and six great-grand children.
“Governor Soludo noted that his late father lived a fulfilled life and died at the ripe age of ninety-two years (92) Further information will be communicated to the public in due course.”
President Tinubu noted that Pa Soludo, who was a dignified and charitable family man, lived a fruitful life that is exemplified in the achievements, personal quality, and sterling records of his son, the Governor of Anambra.
“I pray the Almighty God grant your beloved father eternal rest. He lives through you still; in your sincerity, good works and deeds,” the President said.
Tinubu encouraged Soludo and the good people of Anambra State to take solace in the excellent legacy of the departed nonagenarian.
He is survived by seven sons; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
