President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment and deployment of two new Federal Permanent Secretaries as part of his administration’s efforts to strengthen governance and enhance service delivery under the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Rafiu Adeladan, assigned to the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, and Dr. Mukhtar Mohammed, posted to the Federal Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy. Both were sworn into office before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council meeting, presided over by President Tinubu.

Both officials emerged from a competitive and transparent selection process and bring extensive experience and expertise to their new roles, according to Director of Information and Public Relations at the Office of the Head of the Civil Service, Eno Olotu, in a statement issued on behalf of the Head of Service.

Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, congratulated the appointees, urging them to apply professionalism, accountability, and result-oriented leadership in their assignments. She stressed that these appointments reflect the government’s commitment to building a competent and efficient civil service that meets the developmental needs of Nigerians.

“President Tinubu’s dedication to meritocracy and transparency in the civil service is commendable. These appointments will further strengthen public service delivery and support the government’s development agenda,” Walson-Jack said.

The appointments align with ongoing reforms aimed at optimizing performance and fostering inter-ministerial collaboration to drive sustainable development across key sectors of the economy.
