Daniel K. Kip, Esq. was called to the Nigerian Bar as solicitor and advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in the year 2012, after obtaining his BL & L.LB Hons. from the prestigious University of Calabar, Calabar, Cross River State, and undergoing his mandatory one year training at the Nigerian Law School, Lagos campus, Lagos.
Ten years after, many who know very well could attest that he has proven his worth and he is not resting on his oars.
Daniel Kip is a Notary Public & Solicitor in the Law Firm of Attah Ochinke and Co., a leading law firm in Calabar.
No doubt, Daniel Kip has in his nine years of practice enjoyed a high level of autonomy and responsibility, working closely with an experienced team to deliver professional legal services to over a dozen individuals, companies and government agencies, including being engaged in contentious litigation.
Also, he has had the opportunity of building and maintaining positive client relationship, all of which have been professional and cordial. He has firmly established himself as a key contact to represent clients in court and corporate meetings, and develop, prepare and review legal agreements in accordance with clients’ commercial strategies.
It is widely acknowledged that these exposures have placed him in good stead hence been able to achieve sufficient experience in many areas of interest to wit; corporate law practice, litigation, alternative dispute resolution, property law practice and employment law and so on.
He is an Aassociate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, United Kingdom, a member of the International Criminal Court Young Arbitrators Forum(ICCYAF), a young member of the Institute of Transnational Arbitration, a member of the Section of Business Law and Section on Legal Practice of the Nigerian Bar Association, an Associate member of the  Institute of Strategic Management of Nigeria, and a Legal Services Volunteer to the United Nations Office on Drugs & Crime.
As if that is not enough, Daniel Kip has served in various capacities in the Nigerian Bar Association and thus can comfortably be referred to as a ‘Bar man’. He served as the Treasurer of the NBA Young Lawyers’ Forum(YLF), Calabar Branch, from 2014 to 2016. He was also the National Assistant Publicity Secretary of the NBA YLF  in 2015 under the Alegeh, SAN led administration. He also served as secretary of the NBA YLF from 2016 to 2018. He is the immediate past Assistant Secretary of the NBA, Calabar branch.
Daniel Kip has in every office he has served in the NBA, been committed and innovative. As Secretary of the NBA-YLF, Calabar Branch, he improved and brought about several innovations to the Secretariat. As Assistant National Publicity Secretary, he in concert with the publicity committee initiated the various social media platforms of the NBA YLF and improved the image and visibility of the Young Lawyers’ Forum. As Chairman of the NBA-YLF Electoral Committee he championed the maiden website of the YLF and set out to hold its first online election. As Acting Secretary of the NBA Calabar Branch, he fully restructured and digitalised the Secretariat of the Branch, revived its I.D. Card project, introduced electronic attendance for meetings, eased the interface between the Branch and the national Secretariat and championed the maiden website of the NBA Calabar Branch, amongst others.
Relentless and ever committed, he has served in several committees of the NBA to wit; Chairman of the Electoral Committee of the NBA YLF, member of the Disciplinary Committee of the NBA Calabar Branch, member of the Law/Bar Week Committee of the NBA Calabar Branch, member of the Government/Legislative Matters Committee of the NBA Calabar Branch, member of the Summit Planning Committee of the NBA YLF, Calabar Branch, member of the Business Development Committee of the NBA Calabar Branch, and secretary of the Bar Centre Building Committee of the NBA Calabar Branch.
The uncompromising Daniel Kip also pioneered the holding of a Regional Summit of the NBA Young Lawyers’ Forum in 2020 but the same was truncated by the COVID-19 pandemic.
He is also a consummate writer who has published many articles in diverse fields to champion the cause of humanity.
Daniel Kip is a human, employment, women, and child rights activist.
