Laura found herself deeply engrossed in her relationship with David as they excitedly planned their future together. Everything seemed perfect on the surface; they shared a strong connection, filled with love, laughter, and intimacy. Yet, amidst the joy, there lingered a shadow—the persistent memories of Prince. Despite her commitment to David, thoughts of Prince would often invade her mind, leaving her feeling conflicted.
Laura had shared some details about Prince with David, though she carefully refrained from revealing the full extent of their past. She didn’t want to jeopardize her budding relationship with David, especially since they were so happy together. Their physical connection was passionate and frequent, often serving as a reminder of the love they were building. At that time, Laura’s mother was abroad, giving her the space to explore her feelings without external influences.
The turning point came when David proposed to Laura. Overwhelmed with emotion, she accepted his proposal, envisioning a beautiful future with him. David urged her to meet his mother, and when Laura finally did, she was welcomed with open arms. David’s mother adored her instantly, embracing her as if she were already part of the family. It was a heartwarming moment for Laura, but in the corners of her mind, Prince’s presence lingered, complicating her feelings.
Desperate to have a child, Laura contacted Prince, pleading with him to help her conceive. She had longed for his child, feeling an intense desire to connect with him in that way. However, Prince, as always, expressed his reservations, citing his wife’s disapproval of such an arrangement. This conversation left Laura feeling frustrated yet undeterred. They continued to meet in secret, their encounters filled with passion and longing, but the reality of their situation weighed heavily on her.
Eventually, Laura made the decision to call Prince and inform him of her upcoming marriage. Surprisingly, he responded with genuine happiness for her, though she sensed an underlying sadness in his tone. It was a bittersweet moment, acknowledging that their time together had come to an end, yet knowing that a piece of her heart would always belong to him.
As her mother returned home, wedding plans accelerated, and Laura found herself caught in a whirlwind of preparations. However, she carried a secret that burdened her: she was pregnant. The uncertainty of whether the child was David’s or Prince’s added to her anxiety. Each day leading up to the wedding felt increasingly tense as she grappled with her emotions.
The night before the wedding, Prince flew in, further complicating Laura’s feelings. She yearned for one last encounter, desperately wanting to share intimacy with him before stepping into a new phase of her life. However, Prince refused her request to come to his hotel, insisting he didn’t want to be a distraction on her wedding day. Laura felt a mix of sadness and frustration at his decision. She understood his reasoning, but it didn’t lessen the ache in her heart.
Finally, the day of the wedding arrived. As Laura prepared to walk down to the alter for her reading, her eyes locked unto Prince’s who came to witness the ceremony.
The sight of him sent a rush of emotions through her. Memories of their passionate encounters flooded her mind, reminding her of the deep connection they shared. Laura’s heart raced as she walked toward the altar, torn between her duty to David and the lingering feelings for Prince. She glanced towards Prince again but this time, he wasn’t looking at her.
The ceremony commenced, and as the officiant spoke, Laura’s mind drifted. She tried to focus on the vows being exchanged, but her thoughts were consumed by the tension between her past and her present. Would her future with David overshadow the undeniable passion she had shared with Prince? The questions swirled in her mind, creating a storm of uncertainty.
“Do you, Laura, take David to be your lawfully wedded husband?” the officiant asked, and she “YES I DO. But even as she spoke those words, she felt the weight of her truth pressing down on her.
Finally, the moment came for the rings to be exchanged. Laura’s hands trembled as she placed the band onto David’s finger. The officiant announced them as husband and wife and asked Laura why she felt Davd was the right man! Laura responded “He’s got everything I need in a man and the crowd cheered. Well, that was a lie as she only wanted to kill her
feelings for Prince. Again, Laura had called the officiant earlier begging him to skip the “kiss your bride” scene as she did’nt want to do that in front of Prince. However , the officiant told the congregation about the call and told Laura to kiss David instead. “Shame.Well, Laura kissed David but still felt a mix of joy and sorrow. She was stepping into a new chapter, but a part of her heart remained tethered to Prince.
The reception that followed was a blur of laughter, dancing, and celebration. Guests mingled, sharing in the joy of the moment.
As the evening wore on, in the reception hall, Prince came to say, he was leaving then gave her some money with a pretty smile on his face.
“Prince,” she whispered, her voice filled with emotion. Let’s take a photo.
“Congratulations, Laura,” he replied, though his eyes reflected a mixture of happiness and sadness. Well, all three of them took a photo. “Thank you for coming,” she said.
Prince nodded, understanding the weight of the moment.

As the celebration continued around them, Laura felt the weight of her unresolved emotions. So she decided to let go of Prince forever and be stock with David, her newly wedding husband. The night was thick with tension, and as she stood there, wrestling with her thoughts, she knew that this was only the beginning of her journey.
