Peter Obi, the former Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate in 2023, has urged the federal government to act quickly in response to Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum’s revelations about insurgency.

Earlier, Zulum accused several military officers and politicians of being informants and collaborators with the Boko Haram terrorist group.

In response to Zulum’s terrifying disclosure, the ex-Anambra State Governor termed it as a scathing indictment on the state of the nation.

“The recent outcry by Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno state that Boko Haram informants and terrorists exist among our politicians and within our armed forces is a damning indictment of the state of our nation.

“Words are not enough; silence and inaction only serve to embolden the enemies within. The Nigerian people demand answers and action,” he added.

He praised Governor Zulum for telling the truth and urged an investigation and confrontation with courage and justice.

According to him, Nigeria cannot afford to be held captive by those who are supposed to defend her.

He asked everyone to face insecurity with courage, clarity, and a determination to recapture the country from the shadows.
