The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) recently celebrated its first thanksgiving service at the church’s headquarters in Ikotun-Egbe,Lagos.

Speaking at the event, the church’s general overseer, Pastor Eveyln Joshua, said the programme would henceforth be marked as an annual event as a way of expressing church members’ gratefulness to the Almighty God for His mercy and goodness to them.

‘’Today’s thanksgiving is being held to appreciate God for how He has been good to us, for how He has been our pillar after the death of our father, Prophet Temitope Joshua. We will continue with his good work, keep the church going and continue with the vineyard work and legacy he left behind. Henceforth, this thanksgiving service will become an annual event to be celebrated by members of the church,” she declared.

She also used the occasion  to announce the opening of the church’s first branch in Nigeria in Arigidi, Ondo State. She told the ecstatic members of the church that the new branch, located at the birthplace of the church’s founder, would help to glorify the name of God.

“I wish to bring to your notice another unique project recently completed for us at Synagogue Church of All Nations by God Almighty. The project is the first branch of SCOAN in Arigidi. Though the structure has been in place for years, but God has permitted His restructuring of the church in a modern way with all necessary features in place.

“It is the wonderful work of Christ Jesus for which we all are proud as all members and partners in that environment will have the opportunity to glorify the name of God Almighty in worship and in songs,” she said.

While speaking on sustaining the legacy her husband left behind, the T.B. Joshua Foundation, she said the ministry had been able to provide humanitarian assistance for  people in war-ravaged Ukraine, and flood  and earthquake victims in Pakistan and Spain.

She said: “Emmanuel School in Pakistan is not left out. We have rebuilt the school, which was totally destroyed. Equally, in Nigeria, the flood crisis, which affected many parts of the country, we saw that the victims also experienced terrible moments of displacement and hunger. Our ministry has since visited some states with food and other support items through our partners.”

She said they visited Anambra, Kogi and some other states to give people relief materials and food items in order to show that “we care for them and all hope is not lost.”

She further expressed her appreciation to foreign diplomats and the media for their support through the years.

The congregation, who turned out in beautiful attire, were filled with joy as they sang and danced, praising God for the way He has  been good to the church. In attendance during the thanksgiving service were members of the church from Botswana, Ghana and Benin Republic, among others.
