Fuji music star. Suleiman Alao Malaika, is billed to perform at the popular annual Ogbe- Alara Traditional Festival slated to hold November 19 through 21, at the Ajadi Lawal Events Centre, Lagos Island. The festival will also witness the official launch of Adeyus Magazine, a magazine dedicated to the promotion of African culture and traditions.

According to the organizer of the festival, Chief Yusuf Adekola, the event will witness a convergence of Ifa worshippers both in Nigeria and in the Diaspora. He said the annual festival is a means to ensure that traditional religions in Nigeria and Africa at large are preserved for posterity.

He said: “This is the 11th edition of the Ogbe- Alara Festival. We are focused on the promotion and protection of traditional religions such as the Ifa religion. And we believe as Africans, we must continue to uphold our traditional religions. We also use the festival to showcase upcoming musicians alongside top stars. Last year we had King Saheed Osupa and this year, Alayeluwa Sule Alao Malaika is the headline artiste,” he added.

Expected to grace the event are eminent personalities from different walks of life including community and royal fathers including Oniru of Iruland, HRM Oba Wasiu Gbolahan Lawal, HRM Fatai Aromire of Ijora Kingdom and HRM Saheed Ademola Elegushi of Ikateland among a host of others.
