Anambra State Governor Prof Chukwuma Soludo has assented to the 2024 Appropriation bill.

Governor Soludo while signing the budget into law thanked all stakeholders who have been involved in the entire process, pointing out that Anambra State House of Assembly worked very hard to see that the Law meets the needs and aspirations of Ndi Anambra.

The governor revealed that with the budget in hand, the real transformation of the state using the five pillars of his administration will now begin.

He noted that infrastructure and human capital are among the front burners of the budget plan.

By signing the bill into law, the state government is now empowered to the implement its provisions in the allowed fiscal year.

Daily Sun reported that Governor Soludo had presented the 2024 budget estimate of N410, 132, 225, 272 to Anambra state House of Assembly.

The budget, which is 57.8% higher than that of the 2023 budget, is focused on infrastructure development, education, and healthcare.

Governor Soludo also signed into Law the bill that repealed the Anambra State Publishing and Newspaper Printing Corporation.
