Vice President Kashim Shettima has described the late elder statesman, Aminu Alhassan Dantata as a pillar whose death was deeply felt by all Nigerians.

Speaking during a condolence visit to the Dantata family in Kano, Shettima remarked that the death of the statesman was not to the family only,  but also a loss to Nigerians as a whole.

He urged the family to remain united and not be divided, insisting that, “If it is wealth, the owner of the wealth has gone, so this is to say that nothing lasts for ever.

“Treat the name, Dantata, with integrity and value, which he was known for. Uphold his legacy to ensure that things remain as they are in the family and community,”  he stated

Dantata died a few days ago and was buried in the city of Medina, in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
