The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume, Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma, his Benue State counterpart, Rev Fr. Hyacinth Alia and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Abdullahi Umar Ganduje were among prominent leaders who were present in Umueri in Anambra East Local Government Area of Anambra State as the Pro-Chancellor of Olivia University and former National Auditor of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Paul Chukwuma buried his father-in-law Sir Vincent Okoye.

The requiem Mass was officiated by the Catholic Archbishop of Onitsha, Rt. Most Rev. Dr. Valerian Okeke as well as other Catholic bishops; Diocese of Ekwulobia, Peter Ebere Cardinal Okpaleke, Diocese of Awka, Bishop Paulinus Ezeokafor, Diocese of Nnewi, Bishop Jonas Benson Okoye and Diocese of Agulueri, Bishop Dennis Isizoh and other clergymen as well as well wishers, friends and the family members.
Other dignitaries at the burial ceremony include, the Anambra State Chairman of APC Chief Basil Ejidike, Deputy National Organizing Secretary Nze Chidi Duru, Senator representing Anambra North district Sen. Tony Nwoye, Senator representing Anambra South Sen. Ifeanyi Uba, Director General of South East Governors’ Forum Sen. Uche Ekwunife, Amb. Elijah Onyeagba, Sen. Emma Anosike, and a host of others.
The National Working Committee of the APC led by the National Chairman of the Party and the former Governor of Kano State Abdullahi Umar Ganduje were present at the burial ceremony that brought people from all walks of life.
