The family of an underage girl, Felicia Ogbonna is seeking justice from the Federal Government over alleged acts of sexual molestation by a Lagos-based businessman, Emeka Uyaelumuo.
Already, the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) said it has reopened the investigation into matter.
The Public Relations Officer of NAPTIP, Vincent Adekoye said investigation into the matter was ongoing adding that the Abuja office was collaborating with Lagos, where the incident occured.
Meanwhile, the family, through their counsel, Martin Agba, have written to NAPTIP demanding the status of the case, that was reported since 2022.
In a letter addressed to the Director -General of NAPTIP and dated April 2, 2025, titled “Request for update on reported case of Miss Felicia Ogbonna and Mr. Emeka Uyaelumuo (aka Dallas of Dallas Communication) 2022 and pending March 2025,” the family is demanding for prompt actions given the “serious nature of the matter and the significant time that has passed.”
The letter reads in part: “ the case in question involves Miss Felicia Ogbonna, who was repeatedly raped by Mr. Emeka Uyaelumuo, also known as Dallas Communication. The victim had been living with Mr. Dallas and his family in Lagos as a domestic help.
“In 2021, he began sexually assaulting her. When the victim confided in his wife, who is her aunt’s cousin; she not only dismissed the allegations but actively supported her husband.
“She forced the victim to wear waist beads, record sensual videos for him, and even physically abused her whenever she refused to comply with his demands. During her menstrual cycle, Mr. Dallas would resort to anal rape.
The abuse continue until the victim managed to save up enough money and escape from their home. She reported the incident to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Abuja, where she was referred to the Lagos office. However, no action was taken.
In March 2025 during a press conference, the case resurfaced prompting a return to NAPTIP, where it was revisited.
“Given the serious nature of the matter and the significant time that has passed, we kindly seek information regarding the current status of the investigation and any action taken so far,” the letter reads.
Meanwhile, the victim who spoke with Daily Sun narrated her sordid experience with Uyaelumuo, who she alleged repeatedly sexually violated her from September 2021 until May 2022, when she finally ran away to her parents in Benue State.
She alleged that Ngozi, (her aunt’s cousin) continued to support her husband and even forced her to make nude videos to send to her husband.
“Each time I was having my period, Emeka would have sex with me through the anus. Or he would ask me to suck his manhood until he releases in my mouth.
“The day I swallowed his sperm, I started having serious stomach pains, and I told Ngozi, but she told me to always smile and that if anyone should, for any reason, ask me what was wrong with me, she would deal with me,” she recounted.
She further alleged that her family members have been subjected to repeated harassment by relations of Emeka, who have vowed to make life unpleasant for them for daring to report the matter to the Human Rights Radio (Bekerete family Radio), Abuja.
Meanwhile, several attempts by Daily Sun to reach out to Emeka on his MTN mobile number for his reaction failed.
However, Ngozi, had while speaking on the matter to a national daily, denied all the allegations.
