Saudi club plotting Lookman, Ronaldo rivalry
Saudi Arabian club, Al Ittihad could challenge Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United for the signing of Super Eagles forward, Ademola Lookman this summer.
Lookman turned heads with his performance in the final of the UEFA Europa League, where he scored a hattrick for Atalanta to help them to a comprehensive 3-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen, who had gone unbeaten throughout the entire season.
Following his impressive displays for La Dea, Lookman has emerged as a transfer target for some top clubs in Europe. Sides like Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United have shown some interest in the former Everton man.
But it appears the top European clubs are not the only ones interested in Lookman. According to ABO OMAR, Al Ittihad has contacted Atalanta concerning the possibility of signing Lookman, but nothing concrete has come out yet.
Should he penned a deal with the Saudi side, the Super Eagles star will be primed to rival Cristiano Ronaldoâs Al Nassr in effort to increase his laurel.
Lookman is valued at âŹ40 million on Transfermarkt, but it would cost Al Ittihad up to âŹ60 million to convince Atalanta to let him leave.
Meanwhile, Lookman favours a transfer to the Premier League. Only a bumper contract would turn his head.
