Senate President Bukola Saraki, Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, as well as governors elected on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) were conspicuously absent at the party’s expanded caucus meeting on Wednesday in Abuja.
As at 2.40pm, when the meeting went into a closed session, neither Saraki, Dogara nor any of the party’s 13 governors were at the PDP Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, venue of the meeting.
The meeting, which was scantily attended, was convened by the PDP leadership to review the outcome of the February 23 presidential.
In his address, before the meeting went into a closed session, the PDP National Chairman Uche Secondus, said the party’s lawyers would be in court today or tomorrow to file its suit challenging the election result.
