The Chairman of Santabella Group of Companies Limited, Lawal Oladipupo, has called on Dangote and BUA to engage in constructive dialogue to find common ground and resolve their differences amicably for the country’s best interests.
Lawal also urged the Federal Government and other critical stakeholders to promptly intervene in the Dangote and BUA dispute.
The emergence of the Dangote Petrochemical Refinery, which brings the nation closer to energy self-sufficiency, and BUA Group’s commitment to making cement more affordable to the masses, should be celebrated, and I call for cooperation.
The chairman made this call in a statement signed and available to journalists in Abuja, emphasising the need to reach out to industry leaders and request them to set aside their differences and engage in a constructive dialogue.
Mr. Lawal’s statement underscores the urgent need for collaboration among business leaders, considering Nigeria’s critical position.
“With the impending arrival of the Dangote Petrochemical Refinery, a game-changer for Nigeria’s energy self-sufficiency, and BUA Group’s mission to make cement more accessible, the time is ripe for a new era of unity.

“I implore both Dangote Group and BUA Cement to engage in constructive dialogue, finding common ground to amicably resolve your differences. Collaboration among leaders benefits not only your organisations but also strengthens the entire business ecosystem in Nigeria.

Lawal noted that the recent disputes between DIL and BUA have garnered significant attention, and he understands that disagreements can arise in the competitive world of business. However, he firmly believes that, at this critical juncture in Nigeria’s history, unity among industry leaders is indispensable.
