Mohammed Salah inspired Liverpool to a 6-3 victory over Tottenham on Sunday, scoring twice to send his club four points clear on the Premier League table.
Luis Diaz also netted twice as Liverpool made the best of their encounter by taking advantage of Chelsea’s 0-0 draw at Everton earlier to make a major statement as title favourites.
With Salah spearheading the attack, Tottenham was on the receiving end as a flurry of passes and movement from Liverpool players saw them penetrate their opponents’ defence.
Besides scoring a brace, Salah also delivered a pair of assists that were converted into goals.
With Sunday’s superb performance, the Egyptian talisman has now recorded 18 times in all competitions.
So far, Salah has 15 goals and 11 assists this season, becoming Liverpool’s fourth top scorer ever with 229 goals.
